The Wanderer is inspired by a 16th Century woodcut.  ​His small image appears in each of these paintings.  In a sense he is out of time: a stranger, lost in a fragile world.  ​The 21 painting series takes him from the beginning of his journey, through loneliness and doubt, until finally reaching acceptance.
